Ivanhoe : the remake
1989 - 2019 : 30th Anniversary
Ivanhoe is a 1989 Amiga platform game by Ocean France and was ported to Atari ST by J.C. Meyrignac
Programmer Michel Janicki and graphic designer Philippe Dessoly are at the origin of the game. Like most early Ocean titles, the cover artwork was by the popular artist, Wakelin Bob.
the Ivanhoe game takes place in different environments. The scrolling levels are huge (1792x144 pixel), very detailed and very colorful. Some gamemap can be made up of +3500 unique tiles !! a real nightmare to optimize..fortunately that the original Amiga / Atari palette is made of only 16 colors.
The English forest ( tileset +3500 tiles)
The Boat ( tileset +2500 tiles)
The Austrian town (tileset +3100 tiles)
